The Guest Suite
The front half of Mulberry Lodge - the original part of the house - has now been divided off from the main house to provide a private, self-contained two bedroom Guest Suite.
Farmview Bedroom
Bedrooms
Mulberry Lodge Guest Suite has two lovely double bedrooms sleeping four people in total.
One bedroom - The Farmview Bedroom - has zip-and-link beds and can be configured as a superking or twin beds. The Nook Bedroom has a double bed (140cm wide).
Quality is the key to our cosy and cloud-like beds; linens are Egyptian cotton, mattresses are high-end hotel quality and topped with a padded protector, and the pillows are from the White Company.
The bedrooms have been decorated with a neutral palette to allow you to unwind and drift off to sleep in calming surroundings.
Bathrooms
In the family suite you can luxuriate in the roll top bath with fragrant bath foams and salts and gaze at the sky through the double height windows or grab a quick shower to refresh and rejuvenate!
Upstairs, next to the bedrooms, is a washroom with loo and sink.
Mulberry Lodge offers plenty of space for washing and getting ready when the whole group is preparing for a day out or when everyone wants to get showered straight after a hike.
It’s the small considerations that make a big difference when you’re staying at a holiday home, which is why the bathrooms are always well stocked, with lots of towels, plenty of paper, and a ‘community’ toiletries basket with a variety of items in case you have forgotten anything.
Kitchenette-Dining Room
The Kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, water cooler, microwave, toaster and kettle, as well as plenty of crockery, cutlery and handy utensils. There is a dresser full of beautiful glassware, a cocktail set and bar accessories to really make your evenings indulgent and extra special.
We provide a complementary no-contact pick up and drop off service for dishwashing kitchen items for stays of more than 1 night.
The large dining room is perfect for enjoying a light breakfast together before setting off for the day or for playing a boardgame in the evening!
Please note that the kitchenette does not have an oven, hob or sink.
The Snug
Lots of extras
Enjoy a home away from home at Mulberry Lodge, with lots of thoughtful touches and handy items that make the house extra special.
Expect hot water bottles, books, hiking guides, games, colouring, beautiful artwork, quality glassware, plenty of firewood, and much more waiting for you!
On the upstairs landing there is a desk and workspace available for guests, complete with monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as all the cables you’ll need to connect up your laptop
Nook Bedroom
Just about the cosiest spot for reading, a quiet cup of tea, or doing a jigsaw puzzle, The Snug is a dark and moody room with the original open fireplace. As well as the games and puzzles that live in the dining room, The Snug also has a beautiful chess table and little library, from which guests are welcome to borrow.
Outside Space
You will have access to the driveway with parking for up to two cars, the main private entrance and porch, and a garden with seating area BBQ, and privacy screens, with views out to the estate woodlands full of wildflowers, trees, birds and red squirrels.
