Nestled amongst woodlands and sheep fields,
on the edge of Drymen village, Mulberry Lodge is a tranquil and cosy hideaway in the Trossachs National Park…
Mulberry Lodge
Since 2022 Mulberry Lodge has been the much loved home of Samantha & Ryan.
We now offer the front half of Mulberry Lodge as a Guest Suite - your own private accommodation with two double bedrooms, a full bathroom, a washroom, lounge and dining room with kitchenette facilities. Perfect for West Highland Way walkers, those exploring the area on a quick trip, as a stopover on your way up to the Highlands & Islands, or anyone needing simple but luxurious lodgings if you’re here for an event nearby.
We occasionally rent out the entire 4-bedroom house, but since 2025 we are taking Guest Suite bookings only.
We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the comfort, tranquillity, and luxury of the Lodge and the surrounding area as much as we do.
The History of Mulberry Lodge
Mulberry Lodge’s history spans three centuries and countless tales from families, locals, and travellers alike…
The original Lodge, built in 1888, was called Gateside Lodge. It housed the gatekeeper who managed the delivery entrance for Gateside House at the end of the estate. Once the Gateside estate begun to sell off pockets of land for individual homes, and no longer had need of the Lodge, it too was sold as a private home. The original part of the Lodge - which is now the guest suite - was made into a Bed & Breakfast, with the hosts occupying the new, extended, back part of the property.
It was then sold as one house back in 2020, and now, as of 2025, we welcome visitors to the guest suite as a private, self-catering holiday home.
The Guest Suite
The Guest Suite at Mulberry Lodge can sleep 4 people in two bedrooms. It is completely private for your group and includes a beautiful lounge, dining area with kitchenette facilities, a full bathroom with double sinks, and a washroom.
Please see the Guest Suite page for full details about the accommodation.
